American Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructor Wanted

Position Overview
The Aquatic Connection, LLC is seeking an experienced American Red Cross (“ARC”) Lifeguarding Instructor (“Instructor”) to provide high-quality lifeguarding and CPR training services as an independent contractor for our Aquatic Training Academy.
As a Lifeguarding Instructor, you will teach and certify lifeguards according to American Red Cross standards, including CPR, AED, and first aid. This role requires excellent communication skills, a deep knowledge of safety protocols, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and educational environment for all participants. Job Location
The Aquatic Connection, LLC is based in Vermont, yet The Aquatic Training Academy services clients nationwide. We are looking for instructors who are willing to travel to our Training Locations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and execute all American Red Cross Lifeguarding Courses in accordance with American Red Cross Course Standards
- Ensure all instructional materials and equipment are set up and in proper working order before each class
- Educate participants on safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and lifeguard duties
- Provide candidates with specific constructive feedback and individualized instruction to coach them in successfully achieving course objectives
- Monitor candidates’ progress, evaluate their skills, and administer American Red Cross certification exams
- Maintain accurate records of candidates’ attendance, skills progress, and certifications
- Promote a positive, supportive learning environment that encourages skill development and safety awareness
- Effectively communicate with Team Leaders, Clients, and Course Candidates
- Complete and submit all course documentation timely

Qualifications & Certification Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Hold a valid American Red Cross Lifeguarding/CPR/AED/First Aid Certification
- Hold a valid American Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructor Certification
- Familiarity with all American Red Cross Lifeguarding Courses
Travel Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation
- Required travel within New England during the spring and summer months with occasional out-of-town overnight stays
Compensation
- Per Training Pay
- We pay bonuses & commissions for great work
- Approved travel expenses paid for by the Company
- Reimbursements for approved expenses listed in the contract
